Taupo Lake is the largest lake in New Zealand which located in North Island, 1 hour away from Rotorua toward to South. Taupo is the most popular holiday town because of the activities and attractions around the town. There is Huka Falls, Volcano Thermal Park, Bungy Jump, Skydive, Lake Cruise, Jet Ski, Trout Fishing, Prawn Fishing and so on.

Day 1 : Auckland -> Taupo 

Day 2: Taupo -> Tongariro National Park (Whakapapa Ski Field) -> Taupo 

Day 3 : Taupo -> Rotorua -> Auckland

Huka Falls

Huka Falls is the iconic waterfall in Taupo. This waterfall is part of the Waikato River. To the top of the falls is a set of small waterfalls dropping over about 8 metres. The final stage of the falls is over a 6-metre drop, raised to an effective 11m fall by the depth of the water

Prawn Park

This Prawn Park is the place where you can catch the prawns and enjoy fishing the trout as well. In Taupo, there are lots of rivers and streams around so the prawns and trouts are famous.  

Day 2 Tongariro national Park

Tongariro National Park

Tongariro National Park is the world heritage registered place.  There are 3 big volcano mountains which are MT.Ruapehu, MT. Nauruhoe and MT.Tongariro. There are a number of Maori religious sites within the park, and many of the park's summits, including Ngauruhoe and Ruapehu are sacred. 

Whakapapa Ski Field

The Whakapapa Ski Field is located at Mt.Ruapehu, one of the mountain in Tongariro National Park.  They run Ski School, Sightseeing Lift, Ski and Board riding and so on.
